4 · Ownership Layer
Ownership in THE FAUST is additive. Spirits remain fully functional in the game whether or not they are minted; minting turns an already-owned spirit into a player-held asset.
- SR and SSR spirits only can mint. Mint price < $1, paid in the native chain coin. Minting is a representation of an owned in-game spirit, never a purchase of power.
- a 5% royalty on secondary trades, not a mint-margin model.
- Wujud (Bound → Veiled → Ancient → Origin) is an NFT property. Level is a gameplay property and resets on transfer, so power can never be permanently traded.
Relics are the apex collectible, awarded only through top leaderboard performance in competitive seasonal events, never sold, never summoned. Five Relics forge one Legendary Pet NFT: a spirit slightly (10–15%) above SSR power, visually unique, with its own small signature mechanic. Supply is fixed by the leaderboard itself. Forged Relics burn. Legendaries are trophies with a heartbeat: earned by the best nights, owned forever, resale-able but never resummonable.
The chain is deliberately not chosen yet (candidates: Solana, Base, Ronin, Immutable, Abstract, TON). Decision at TGE-prep by distribution, liquidity, wallet UX, and grants. The client keeps a chain-agnostic abstraction layer.
